Mobile History

The city of Mobile has its own history since 1702. It served as Louisiana's 1st Capital of the French colony. Basically it was founded to give shape to its claim on Louisiana. The Gulf Coast played home to the Roman Catholic Parish of Mobile which came into existence in the year 1703.
