About Jefferson County, Alabama

Birmingham is the county seat of Jefferson County. Jefferson County is the most populated county in the state of Alabama. According to the 2010 Untied States Census the population of the count is approximately over 1.2 billion, and is also the most populous county in the Birmingham metropolitan area. The county has a total area of 1,123.8 sq miles, of which 99 percent is land and only one percent water bodies.

The county was established in the year 1819 by the state Legislature of Alabama. The county was named after Thomas Jefferson to honor his contributions to the country. The county is situated in the north central side of the state of Alabama in the southern edge of the Appalachian Mountains. About Mobile County, Alabama

Mobile County was originally created by the Mississippi Territory in the year 1812. However, once Mississippi was admitted to the United States, the county became part of the Alabama Territory in 1817. The county had a population of 399,843 as per the 2010 census. With a geographical area of 1,644 Square miles, Mobile County governs several islands such as Dauphin Island, Mon Louis Island and Gaillard Island. As much as 63% of the population in this county is caucasian, followed by 33% by African or Black Americans. There are various counties on either side of Mobile County such as Washington County situated to the north, Jackson County situated to the Southwest, George County, Mississippi situated to the West and Baldwin County situated to the East.

About Tuscaloosa County, Alabama

Tuscaloosa is located in Tuscaloosa County, which is situated in Alabama. Named after chief Tuskaloosa, Tuscaloosa County is the second largest in Alabama.

Established in 1818, Tuscaloosa County has a sizeable agrarian community. Primary agricultural produce includes hay, cotton and wheat.

Important tourist attractions in Tuscaloosa County are the University of Alabama's football games where people from all around the country attend. Occasionally, they're aired on ESPN and other television networks.

Another popular attraction is the Paul W. Bryant Museum, also known as the Bear Bryant Museum. Montgomery County was created by the Mississippi Territorial Legislature by dividing Monroe County in the year 1816. The city of Montgomery is the seat of the Montgomery County. It is one of the popular counties in Metropolitan Statistical Area of Montgomery. The county is spread over 799.76 square miles. About Madison County, Alabama

Huntsville lies predominantly in Madison County and forms the heart of the Huntsville Metropolitan Area.
